Aloe vera cuts risk of stomach and intestinal ulcers

A team from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry have carried out tests that show that the herb Aloe vera has a beneficial effect on the production of substances that help boost the healing process in cases of ulceration in the gut. The researchers believe A. vera could be particularly valuable in treating ulcers caused as a side-effect of taking non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs.
