The advantages of being a vegetarian

Football fans were offered free dog-meat products in South Korea during the world cup. Korean restauranteurs claim they wish to dispel western prejudices regarding their cuisine. The freebies will be available at the world cup stadiums.1 If dog is not to your taste you might consider dining in Vietnam. Peasants are now selling rats that overrun their paddy fields as food in Vietnam and Cambodia to keep the pests under control: 100 tonnes of rat meat a day are said to end up on the dinner table.2
