Health warning on herbal supplements

Health Canada has warned consumers not to use seven herbal supplements manufactured in the USA by BotanicLab, marketed as traditional Chinese medicines, because they are adulterated with undeclared prescription drugs. The products (and undeclared drugs) are:

• Arthrin Capsules [indomethacin, diethylstilbestrol (DES), and alprazolam]
• Osporo Capsules (indomethacin and DES)
• Poena Capsules (indomethacin)
• Neutralis Capsules (indomethacin)
• 50A Plus Capsules (indomethacin and alprazolam)
• RA Spes Capsules (indomethacin and alprazolam)
• Hapastat Capsules (indomethacin)
