Herbal medicines withdrawn in Jakarta

The Indonesian Government has decided to withdraw 25 brands of jamu, a traditional herbal medicine that contains phenylbutazone, paracetamol, antalgin, dexamethasone, furosemid, caffeine, theophylline, talbutamide, chlorpropamide or allupurinol. Most of the banned jamu is intended to treat asthma, rheumatism, headache, obesity and general fitness.
