Another endowed university chair of complementary medicine in Germany

A university chair of complementary medicine is due to be established at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. An endowment of €1.5 million from the Erich Rothenfußer Stiftung will fund the chair for 6 years in the first instance. The aim of the Foundation is to integrate naturopathy and complementary medicine into the current university medicine system not only in healthcare provision but also education and teaching. Previously the Erich Rothenfußer Foundation supported the Center for Complementary Medicine Research based at the Technical University in Munich. This is the second endowed chair in complementary medicine in Germany after the establishment of a chair at the Charité University Medical Center in Berlin earlier this year.
