CAM in US Army therapy

The US Army is beginning to use yoga, acupuncture, meditation and virtual reality to help its personnel and their families cope with mental health issues. According to Schoomaker, a US Army doctor, the US Army is ‘taking a much more holistic view toward how you care for people with post traumatic stress and anxiety disorders’. Army figures show that the suicide rate among soldiers increased for the fourth year, prompting concern over care for personnel suffering from mental health issues.
