Reduction in UK homoeopathic prescriptions

The UK’s GP magazine Pulse has reported a fall in the number of homoeopathic prescriptions issued by GPs. Prescriptions for homoeopathy have nearly halved in two years, dropping from 83 000 in 2005 to 49 300 in 2007. This drop goes against the trend as overall the number of issued prescriptions in England is rising; 720 million were issued in 2005 compared to 800 million in 2007.
